JEANNE FINESTONE

Jeanne is the Head of Communications and Partnerships at the World Agroforestry Centre, (ICRAF), a centre of scientific excellence that leverages the world’s largest repository of agroforestry science and information to ensure food security and environmental sustainability. She is a strategic communications professional with extensive experience developing and implementing results-driven advocacy, marketing, donor mobilization and partner relations campaigns for a wide cross-section of public, private, I/NGO and multilateral organizations. Jeanne has spearheaded multidimensional campaigns in the areas of post-conflict stability, supply chain development, capacity building, private sector engagement in global development and sustainability as well as education, broadcasting, publishing and the arts. 

 

During her rich and varied career, Jeanne has held leadership and advisory posts with some of the most respected brands and global institutions including UN agencies, PBS, McGraw-Hill, Time Inc., Sesame Workshop, the BBC, American Red Cross and the Grameen Foundation. As a result of her experience in diverse sectors, Jeanne is able to articulate the unique demands of each thereby building valuable, sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships that effect positive change.

 

Jeanne strongly believes in the combined power of business and civil society to complementarily drive economic growth and improve lives and livelihoods in low- and middle-income countries.
